About the society

The Film and Photo society has been going for a good number of years; at the heart of it all, we're enthusiastic about all aspects of photography and video-making.

Last year, we covered many events both as a society and individually, such as the Great South Run, Portsmouth FA cup parade, varsity matches and many other events at the union and around the city.

This year we have many more events in the pipeline such as: fireworks, national and international trips, which are worthwhile and rewarding to participate in.

We welcome members of all abilities and camera types; you don't need an SLR to join us or to be able to participate. Also, we are here to help you to enhance your skills as a photographer through our workshops, tutorials from fellow members and guest speakers.
